Summary of Accident:
Two workers at a construction site were killed while ten others were injured when the scaffolding they were on collapsed from a height of 25 metres. During the incident, part of the scaffolding on the second floor gave way together with the granite slab cladding and work platform.
Contributing Factors :
The scaffolding fails to support the load put onto the working platform, causing it to collapse.
Results of Observation :
Lack of safe work procedures and close monitoring by the employer on the works carried out.
