Summary of Accident:
A construction worker was killed after falling from the roof while carrying out physical checks. During the incident, the victim together with his supervisor was carrying out physical checks of the eaves to identify the leak in the air vent. The victim fell from a height of 5.2 metres and died at the scene owing to serious head and chest injuries as well as internal bleeding.
Contributing Factors :
The victim did not have the skills for the work.
Results of Observation :
Lack of safe work procedures for working at height.
