Organization Chart

OBJECTIVE

i.Implementing the activities of the competent person recognition (OYK/OYB).

ii.Carry out approved personal protective equipment activities, industrial hygiene monitoring equipment, engineering controls, audiometric testing center and analytical laboratory and hazardous process to health.

iii.Identify ergonomic and industrial hygiene hazards and providing assessment and monitoring methods to be implemented by the state offices.

iv.Plan and monitor Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics activities of the state offices.

v.Manage storage, maintenance activities and calibration equipment industrial hygiene and ergonomics of the department.
 
 
 
 

CONTROL AND SUPERVISION SECTION

A. ACCREDITATION UNIT
  • Processing new registration applications for Competent Persons (Noise Exposure, Assessor, Hygiene Technician and Indoor Air Quality Assessor).
  • Processing renewal applications for Competent Persons (Noise Exposure, Assessor, Hygiene Technician and Indoor Air Quality Assessor).
  • Monitor performance of Competent Person through their assessment or monitoring reports.
  • Monitor performance of Competent Person through interview conduct in DOSH’s office.
  • Monitor performance of Competent Persons through observation while performing work on field.
  • Prepare and maintain Competent Person’s database to store all Competent Person’s data and update Competent Person’s data in the Department's website.

B. MONITORING UNIT
  • Monitor on Industrial Hygiene Competent Person which registered with the Department.
  • Performing data collection on Industrial Hygiene Competent Person monitoring conducted by the State Office.
  • Collect performance data on the Industrial Hygiene Section State Office.
  • Prepare and maintain database to store performance data in the Industrial Hygiene Section State Office.
  •  Analyze data, preparing reports and statistical development activities in the Industrial Hygiene Section State Office.
  •  Collecting data the use of Industrial Hygiene and Industrial Safety equipment at the State Office.
  •  Prepare and maintain database to store Industrial Hygiene and Industrial Safety equipment usage data at the State Office.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports of Industrial Hygiene and Industrial Safety equipment usage at the State Office.
  • Plan and implement training / courses under the scope of Industrial Hygiene.
  • Develop module and implement industrial hygiene competencies course for DOSH officers.
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of ergonomic inspections from time to time.
  • Handling the problems faced by the state in carrying out ergonomics inspection activities.
  • Plan and conduct ergonomics inspection training to the officers of the department.
 
 
 
 
 

EQUIPMENT SECTION

A. MAINTENANCE UNIT
  • Monitor and record consumables goods and capital assets in / out of the Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics Division equipment’s store at Headquarters.
  • Carry disposal work of industrial hygiene monitoring equipment at the Headquarters and State Offices.
  • Plan and coordinate industrial hygiene equipment calibration at the Headquarters and State Offices.
  • Ensure all industrial hygiene equipment can function properly at all times.
  • Plan and perform equipment exhibitions.
  • Plan sample preparation for the monitoring of chemicals hazardous to health.
  • Plan and carry out industrial hygiene equipments training for new officers and State Offices.
  • Provide expert assistance and equipments for industrial hygiene research.
B. APPROVAL UNIT
  • Processing applications for approval of personal protective equipments.
  • Processing applications for approval of industrial hygiene equipments.
  • Processing applications for approval of silent booths including audiometer calibration.
  • Processing applications for approval of sandblasting.
  • Develop and review procedures and guidelines on the approval of equipments and personal protection equipments.
  • Provide advice, training and guidelines related to industrial hygiene equipments.
  • Investigate complaints on matters related to personal protective equipment, monitoring equipment, silent room and laboratory and sandblasting.
  • Provide expert assistance and equipment for industrial hygiene research.
