Message from Director General: YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Mohtar bin Musri

kpjkkp2014Assalamualaikum wbt and greetings,

Welcome to the official website of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, Ministry of Human Resources.

This Department is the government agency responsible for administering, managing, and enforcing legislation related to occupational safety and health (OSH) in this country with the vision to cultivate OSH culture in every workplace and to make every job and task safe and healthy for the worker.

The delivery of OSH information through borderless cyberspace will allow Malaysians to get this information more quickly, accurately and effectively. The Department's official website has been created to facilitate the dissemination of information and increase two-way communication between the Department and the wider community.

Through this website, visitors will also be able to download a copy of any Act, regulations, code of practice or guidelines pertaining to OSH that they might require.

The Department has also taken the initiative in providing on-line services such as:

i. e-submission of application for approval of design of machinery designated as certificated machinery
ii. e-payment for and on-line downloading of certificate of fitness (CF)
iii. e-form for making an application through fillable form
iv. e-application for requesting the use of OSH Accident Cost Calculator (OSHACC)
iv. e-status for reviewing the result of an application
v. e-reporting for obtaining a notification form

This website has been designed to serve as a source of reference for OSH matters, and provides content comprising speeches, videos, reports, posters and relevant statistics related to OSH, and a brief description of the roles and responsibilities of the Department as a whole and various Divisions within the Department.

It is our hope that the Department's official website will become a source of reference in the dissemination of OSH information to the people of Malaysia. Any feedback, opinion or suggestion with a view to making the website more useful, relevant and effective is always welcome.

Thank you.
